University of the Rockies Library
In a world where digital access is becoming increasingly more common in the academic arena, it is important that you have access to first-rate online resources. The University of the Rockies Library provides University-wide access to a variety of electronic resources that include scholarly journals and peer reviewed articles, magazine articles, ebooks, videos, newspaper articles, book reviews, dissertations, conference papers, government reports, and more. These online resources are available on the library's web page, which is accessible through the Student Portal or the online classroom. Instructional aides for resources and services are also available on the library’s web page. These aides include: information on copyright and plagiarism, tip sheets for searching the databases, links to useful websites, information resources, and more. Some of the services available to you include assistance from librarians, one-on-one sessions on library usage, and interlibrary loan services which allow you to obtain articles and other documents that are not currently in the University Library's electronic collections.
University of the Rockies has a physical library located in the Denver Instructional Site in the Tabor Center overlooking the 16th street mall, and in Colorado Springs which is located in a historic railroad station. These libraries provide access to all the online resources through the library’s website, print books, handouts, reference material, special collections, test kits/protocols, and the online public access catalog (OPAC) which contains records for all of our books, ebooks, videos, and testing materials.
Both libraries provide computers for student use. Each computer is equipped with MS Office and Internet access. Select computers, either at the Colorado Springs or Denver Library, contain specialized programs such as SPSS, NVivo, various assessment-scoring programs, and Dragon Speak used for reading from text and writing from audio. The Colorado Springs Library also houses an extensive Testing Material Collection, which includes protocols, manuals, and test kits.
The library staff is available for research assistance by email or telephone. You can reach the library staff at 800.901.3360 (toll free) or at email@example.com.
