University of the Rockies President
Charlita Shelton, PhD
President of University of the Rockies

Located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, University of the Rockies prides itself on being a leader in graduate studies. Founded in 1998, the University's goal is to provide a professional graduate education in social and behavioral science. In keeping with the changes in education modalities, University of the Rockies offers both on-campus and online graduate degree programs.

As President of University of the Rockies, I wish to commend you for taking this major step in your education.

Since our founding in 1998 as the Colorado School of Professional Psychology, our institution has successfully evolved from a strictly bricks-and-mortar campus to a world-class organization that also provides all the advantages of online education.

In my 18 years working in higher education, one thing I have discovered is my passion for supporting diverse groups of people who are committed to their education and professional development. As a student at University of the Rockies, you have the unique opportunity to participate and learn as part of a dynamic global community of learners and scholars. Whether your studies are at the Master's or doctoral degree level, on campus or online, every student at University of the Rockies is offered all of the same academic resources and opportunities. I welcome this chance to work with you, and I urge you to take advantage of everything your student community has to offer.

I can promise you the full support of the faculty and staff here at University of the Rockies. You can count on your community to recognize and encourage your efforts all the way through graduation day, and beyond. Thank you for choosing to be part of the Rockies family!

Warm regards,
Charlita Shelton
