Welcome to the Golden Key International Honour Society chapter for University of the Rockies. Golden Key is the world's premier collegiate honor society, connecting members locally, regionally, and globally with lifetime opportunity, reward, and success. At University of the Rockies, we are proud to recognize top performing students for their academic achievements and contributions.

Golden Key Inductees

Each year, new members are inducted into Golden Key. Our first induction ceremony took place in August 2011, and the most recent New Member Recognition Ceremony took place in October 2013. If you missed the ceremony, you can still take part in this momentous occasion.

History of Golden Key

Golden Key International Honour Society was founded on November 29, 1977, to recognize academic excellence and encourage scholastic achievement among college students across all academic disciplines.

Golden Key keeps active membership in many national organizations including National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS), National Scholarship Providers Association (NSPA), American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), National Association of Graduate Admissions Professionals (NAGAP), Direct Marketing Association (DMA), and National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC).

Charter Chapters

There are over 390 chapters at colleges and universities in seven countries worldwide, including Australia, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, The Bahamas, and the United States.

Membership Criteria

Membership in Golden Key International Honour Society is by invitation only. To qualify for membership, you must meet the following criteria as of March 1:

  • Have successfully completed at least 12 credit hours; and
  • Rank as a top-performing graduate student, based on GPA.

Membership in Golden Key requires a one-time lifetime membership fee of $80, paid at the time of acceptance.
