Eating Disorders Concentration
Overview:
The Eating Disorders concentration within the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD), Clinical Specialization degree program at University of the Rockies is designed to give you knowledge and skill in dealing with one of the most rapidly growing areas of psychological distress today. You will learn to identify, diagnose, and treat eating disorders, while becoming aware of the medical and physical effects that accompany eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa and bulimia.
Concentration Requirements (9 credits)
- PSY 8720 Seminar in Eating Disorders (3 credits)
- PSY 8730 Assessment and Treatment of Eating Disorders (3 credits)
and three credits chosen from:
- PSY 8740 Medical/Psychological Effects of Eating Disorders (3 credits)
- PSY 8750 Nutrition, Weight Control, & Body Image (3 credits)
