Child and Adolescent Therapy Concentration
Overview:
The Child and Adolescent Therapy concentration within the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD), Clinical Specialization degree program at University of the Rockies is designed to give you knowledge and skill in dealing with the unique developmental issues, disorders, and adjustment syndromes faced by children and adolescents. This concentration is especially tailored to meet the needs of psychologists who wish to specialize their practices or work in facilities geared toward the treatment of children and adolescents.
Concentration Requirements (9 credits):
- PSY 8250 Play Therapy (3 credits)
- PSY 8260 Treatment of Children and Adolescents in At-Risk Populations (3 credits)
- PSY 8280 Treatment of Family Violence (3 credits)
(Basic graduate courses in diagnosis and treatment of childhood disorders are included in the PsyD degree core.)
