University of the Rockies Accepts DMTF Academic Alliance Partnership

Distributed Management Task Force, Inc. (DMTF), the leader in global IT standards, has invited University of the Rockies to join its academic alliance. Only 65 higher education institutions across the globe have been accepted to the collaborative group.

DMTF brings IT professionals together to collaborate on the development, validation and promotion of systems management standards. Its board of directors is led by 17 of the most innovative technology companies, including Cisco, Citrix Systems, Inc., HP, IBM, Intel Corporation, Microsoft, and Oracle.

“This alliance will have long-term, strategic benefits to the University,” said George Lucas, associate vice president of Institutional Effectiveness and chief of staff. “As we expand our technology in order to enhance the student experience and to fulfill our mission, the research and collaboration made available to us through this partnership will become invaluable.”

Lucas will represent the University in this partnership, and will also participate in the academic alliance working group and the platform management subcommittee.
